TAHMOOR MINE -  LONGWALL PUMP STATION OVERHAUL

LONGWALL HYDRAULICS COMPLETES ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL PUMP STATION OVERHAUL

Back in 2012, Longwall hydraulics designed and manufactured two complete sets of Longwall Pump station systems to meet sites operational requirements and production demands. For the first time since the original supply back in 2012, Longwall Hydraulics have executed a periodical full life pump station overhaul of one of their 2-cart systems. The team at Longwall Hydraulics worked together with Tahmoor mine representatives to provide an overhaul that met both budget and time constraints after a more agile approach to the project lifecycle.

Project highlights:

Complete strip of all modules to bare chassis
All major components underwent analysis to ensure safety and integrity
Complete hosing replacement to align with safety and regulatory requirements
Major items covered in overhaul:

1 x P3000 Sunflo Shearer Water Pump
3 x Kamat K35000 series Emulsion Pump rebuilds with full testing
3 x Kamat K9000 series Emulsion Hi-set Pump rebuilds with full testing
4 x 3.3kV Full motor overhauls, complete with full current testing
4 x Hallmark 50T crawler tracks units
Full oil hydraulic control valving overhaul and test
2 x TP125 Boost pump overhaul and motor replacement

Complete electrical rewiring with upgrades as per sites request
Successful Factory acceptance testing witnessed by site representatives

A massive thank you to all that was involved within the overhaul, and a special thanks to everyone involved within Longwall Hydraulics, Pirtek Illawarra and Dynelec. The effort from everyone to have the overhaul completed to a very high standard within a set time and budget was outstanding.
