We are now in the final stages of an overhaul of a longwall monorail pump system in Mackay, a project that has been progressing over the past two months.
Unlike conventional longwall cart systems, monorail systems present a unique set of advantages. Our Workshop Manager has noted the improved accessibility for stripping and refitting the pods, which has streamlined much of the overhaul process.
We are in the process of loading several completed components for transport to the Bowen Basin, including the GP water pod, filter pod, accumulator pod, and three boost pump pods. The main KAMAT pump pods are currently being fitted with motors and paired with their corresponding tank pods.
With this project nearing completion, our workshop team will start shifting focus to other repair work upon completion. Additionally, two of our senior trade technicians are scheduled to be on-site next week to commission one of our new dust suppression systems.
