Last week, the LW Hydraulics team travelled to Cooma, NSW, to commission three KAMAT high-pressure pump units for the Future Generation Joint Venture, a project playing a key role in Australia’s growing renewable energy sector. Over two full days on site, our technicians worked closely with the Drill & Blast and Mechanical teams to ensure each unit was tested and performing to KAMAT’s world-class standards.
Manufactured in Germany by KAMAT, the high-pressure pump systems are designed to supply water to specialised hammer drill attachments mounted on excavators. The use of high-pressure water supports efficient and controlled drilling, helping to reduce mechanical wear, dust, and improve overall energy efficiency while creating critical drainage holes required for the project’s infrastructure.
As the Australian KAMAT distributor, LW Hydraulics was proud to support the commissioning process and ensure a seamless handover. Following commissioning, we also delivered on-site KAMAT pump training for the Future Generation crew, covering safe operation, basic maintenance, and parts identification to help maximise reliability and uptime.
